How'd the world come into being? Who can prove there was a BIG BANG? And, if there was such, what does that tell us about life today and tomorrow?
Scientists are needful, but they need other things as well. No one segment of our society has all the answers; however, if we will unite our minds, consciousness, and spirits, we can alter the future. And,we need to!
Times they are a changing. And some know it, but others are living in deniual; however, they weill eventually be swept up with the tide as well.
I do not see myself as a scientist, I am rather a philosopher. Some claim that it is the role of philosophy to doubt and question but I see it as the role that asks the questions that the scientiests should answer. Philosophers can also suggest answers and request that scientists proof or disproof them.
We've lost so much more than we know. But until we can swallow our pride and admit that we don't know much about life, we'll end up where we're headed: and that's not good.
Our arrogance knows few boundaries. We think we can figure it all out but every time we get "there" we find out we haven't a clue. When will that sink in for future reference?
Cosmology is that branch of science which studies the origin and evolution of the universe. Since the philosophy of evolution is the underlying assumption of cosmology, it is expected that a good number of their conclusions will come in conflict with the Biblical history of creation. It is therefore good to know if those conflicts arise because of scientific reasons or because of philosophical presuppositions.
A quick list of some of my own personal favorite astronomers from America. It is impossible and downright silly to create a list of the “best” astronomers because, really, what would the rankings be based on?
The science fiction books described their aliens or robots, or artificial intelligences, through human perceptions.
Describes the apparent contradicions between relativity and quantum physics. Shows how the contradictions are resolved by string theory. The theories loosely based on string theory that deny the law of entropy are absurd. Spontaneous generation of the universe is one such absurd theory.
We treat our planet as though it were some material dump from which we can retrieve whatever we want for our own pleasure, not realizing we're misusing the life that sustains ours.
Scientific inquiry can be described as a sequence of observations leading to a hypothesis which must be tested by experimentation. The results either validate or invalidate the hypothesis which was under test.
