On a clear, moonless night, a hazy, luminous band stretches across the sky. The ancients devised many fanciful myths to account for this "milky way." each galaxy home to billions of stars. Some, like the Milky Way, are flat disks with arcing spiral arms and regions of dense interstellar gas, called nebulae, which are active sites of star formation. Yet others are ellipse-shaped agglomerations of mature stars, virtually devoid of interstellar gas or dust.
When earth began to cool the spacemen made their trips to it every thousand years or so. The 1st day (Biblically speaking) was the 1st trip, the 2nd day, the 2nd trip, etc. The Andromedans made the first 2 trips then turned the watch over to the Pleiades galaxy, for the 3rd and 4th days. They then turned it over to Sirion and Venus in the Milky Way Galaxy for the 5th and 6th trips (days).
The Hubble Space Telescope has been orbiting around the Earth and owes its name to Edwin Hubble who made the discovery of galaxies that lay outside the Milky Way as well as for his creation of Hubble's Law that calculated the rate at which the universe is getting bigger. The...
