The earth is a living planet where many complex systems run perfectly without stopping at all. When compared to other planets, it is evident that in all its aspects the earth is specially designed for human life. Built on delicate balances, life prevails in every spot of this planet, from the atmosphere to the depths of the earth.
Earth, our home planet, is the only planet that has an atmosphere which supports life, the only known life in the universe. Though the origin of life on Earth is not fully understood, it is believed that once life got a foothold beyond the oceans, it spread rapidly across the continents and the first amphibians evolved into dinosaurs.
The question of how old the earth is bothers many Christians. This is because the present-day theories of age seem to contradict the Biblical account which allows only a few millennia for life.
