Trenchless Technology is the science of installing, repairing or renewing underground pipes, ducts and cables using techniques that minimise or eliminate the need for excavation.

The use of such techniques can reduce environmental impact and social costs. Additionally, at the same time the methods can provide economic alternatives to traditional open cut methods of installation, renewal or repair.

Guided Auger Boring is a Trenchless technique that has moved to the forefront of environmentally acceptable methods. Systems can now be operated from small shafts, meaning that pipes can be installed to remote reception points.
