The human race is of diverse strains, appearance and stature e.g. Western Europeans Eastern Europeans, Asians and Africans, have different social, religious, cultural setups. Indeed, we find in every ethnic back ground there are subtle differences, even in persons born from a single mother.
According to modern science, the attributable factor are the set of numerous genes in the complex body structure, which controls this diversity in features., attitudes and behavior, and, in many cases, but by no means in all, the impact of disease and resistance to inducing pathogens.
Significantly, however, the genetic categorizations showed an easy and almost clear correspondence to the racial groups into which people are classed.
It has long been known that people vary widely in their response to drugs, partly due to differences in their age and general health, but also because of their genes. At the moment, finding out which medicines suit an individual best is \largely a process of trial and error. But scientists are starting to unravel the genetic factor involved.
People who share a common ancestry have a higher frequency of certain genes. Therefore, if a certain disease has a much higher prevalence in one race compared to another, then there is the possibility that “disease genes” can be traced and identified.
An example given hitherto is that black African Americans suffer more for heart fail our than the white people.; but what about the case where the blacks suffer from a different kind of heart fail our altogether from than that found in whites, in which case the argument is forfeited.
In this context, several arguments, studies and literature citations have endorsed this view, while others refuted these arguments as a merely coincidental, and have no plausible explanations except for environmental issues otherwise.
Both theories –for and against-, claim authenticity and authority in this matter, though it is apparent to the considrate person, a midway position is more acceptable. Indeed, there can be differences within one and the same race.
As an example, researchers have found relevant difference between groups within a single race. Puerto Ricans for example, are known to suffer more from asthma than Mexicans, although these two populations belong to the same race.
We cannot by any means endorse one race with a series of ailments and leave off all the surrounding environmental factors and conditions, which have a considerable impact on the existing population.
Though the gene factor is definitely playing a role in the control of human course, , It is equally important that a change in living status or condition and environment in which the person is situated whoever he might be, will bring forth a change in his living condition, life expectancy and social changes as well.
