To give a ‘Definition of the Environment’ can be stated as that which encompasses surrounding scenery or conditions by which one is surrounded.  At times it can be the complex of climatic soil and biological factors that act upon an organism or an ecological community.  This includes the ambience and atmosphere also background conditions.   Added to this are the context, the domain, the entourage and habitat, the locale, the medium, the setting within the situation, plus the surroundings and the territory involved.

This is Earth, the Planet we live on.  It has energy supplies.  We have life on Earth and ask how does the living part of the earth system work?  Life is driven by the energy of the sun. 

Green plants live in every part of the Earth, under the sun, where there is moisture, warmth and nutrient rich soil.  This is enough to allow life.  All plant life gives off heat via photosynthesis.  This is the energy supply by way of the common biochemistry of the half million, or so, species of green plants.  All plants are using the chemistry of photosynthesis to produce energy.  This is an energy once trapped from the sun by the green plants and ultimately radiated back to outer space.  Plant life is diverse, that is there are so many different kinds.  The diversity of animals is far greater.  Most are small and most are insects. All are capable of reproduction.  They work in unison with the plant life and give off energy as heat.  The different species all live together and resources are shared.  This is what is essential for life to live and prosper and reproduce.

From the basics of global warming many scientific studies claim that just a two degree increase in the global temperature could have extreme consequences on our climate, our way of living and our weather.  According to Greenpeace, Spain could be greatly affected with desertification, as a major concern.  That is, large areas of soil degradation, following a climate change.  Perhaps the most dramatic changes would be watching the beautiful Spanish coastline slowly recede as sea levels rise.  Apparently over thirty different international scientific communities confirmed that temperatures are indeed rising and the reason is the effects of manmade gas concentrations.  Therefore, you can say what can I do to ensure our World stays as beautifully intact as long as possible.  There are three initiatives to focus on:

1.   Reduce environmental damage  by reducing carbon dioxide emissions and then by complying with the European Union’s commitments to address climate change for the years 2020 and 2050. 

2.  By restricting the use of cars and promoting the use of public transportation and developing plans to comply with the Law of Sustainable Mobility.

3.   Aid the creation of a coherent network of coastal and oceanic areas in order to protect the quality and biodiversity of the sea.

Added to this we can all personally use the bottle banks and newspaper banks for disposals.  We can recycle all possible items and ‘Wake up to the protection of The Environment and partake in Green Consumerism’.
