Barack Obama began the chant with the question, "Are you ready for change" and then the follow up "YES, We Can!" It's obvious that the three largest space exploration agencies in the world (NASA, EAS, JAXA) are sensing change: changes! All of the planets in our solar system are undergoing major changes! We're being impacted by the sun which is being impacted- by what? Are we ready for change? I don't think so- not this kind!
Janice Manning wrote, "Since 2000 there is clear evidence of a new sense of urgency in the launch of space missions. The observations made by these probes are telling us that something is changing or is about to change." And we're not talking politics!
Planet X or Nibiru (as the Sumerians called it) is a brown dwarf and therefore most difficult to spot. A brown dwarf has been compared to a smoldering charcoal briquette- touch it and you'll get burned. In essence a brown dwarf has enough mass to ignite for a short time, it wasn't large enough to trigger the fusion of hydrogen that keeps stars shining for eternity: or a very long time.
This is one of the reasons we're sending so many space probes "out there" as well as "inward" where the sun's activities are being monitored. Five of the last seven major space probe launches (outward) have concentrated on infrared and near infrared capabilities: just what's needed to discover the heat from any brown dwarfs.
It seems that an asteroid collision is our least of worries.
For the conspiracy theorists like Richard Hoagland and John Maynard, IRAS, The Infrared Astronomical Satellite, that was launched in 1983 by the US, UK, and Netherlands is a suspicious event. Shortly after mapping 96 of the sky, IRAS discovered a massive heat bloom. NASA said there was a malfunction in IRAS, shut it down, but then secretly brought it back up so we could have the information all to ourselves.
Who would do such a thing? Not our very own NASA! :-)
Adding to the intrigue is why we went to such great lengths, resources, and expense to build the SPT (South Pole Telescope) in the harshest of conditions when building it in the tip of Chile would have been more resonable. Again, conspiracy theorists say this location is best to track where some believe Planet X can be monitored, especially in the event that we lose our space based observatories.
It appears that while the public is only thinking about political change, and I am all for that, ancient civilizations have been telling us for dozens of centuries that a BIG CHANGE is coming in 2012. Let's hope hope we're ready and capable to handle whatever changethat might bring. After all, we have four years to get ready!
