Although there are various types of marbles available in the market, yet not all of them can be used for building purpose. Some calcite rich stones which has crystallized are also known as building marbles. The Guizhou cream marble which is quarried exclusively in Southern China is known popularly as the building marble. So when you are buying marbles for home, you have to know the difference. Are you buying the real marbles true to the geological definition or are you looking at the different types of natural stones? As marble is not heat-resistant it is better to avoid using it in the kitchen counters. Granite is a far better choice. No one can deny the classy look of marbles. But think carefully before you incorporate them in the interiors. It should match the designs!
