I have recently encountered something that I think is the best invention since sliced bread. At first I really wasn't sure about it because one, I couldn't really picture it and two, it didn't really sound that intriguing. When you think about purchasing a magazine, you think of receiving something that's paper back. A flimsy book that you'll have probably around three month before it starts collecting dust in the corner of some random spot in the living room. Sometimes the bathroom.
Then it happened. I saw an ad right in front of me to buy an online subscription to Maxim Magazine. I first though, do I buy this and then they send it to my house? I mean, it did say instant delivery. Maybe a one day by FedEx? Then I read get your digital copy now. I thought to myself. That's an awesome idea. But how would this work? Is it just photos and articles you click through, because personally I do like the magazine feel. There's something about turning the pages, scanning through the ads and passing everything up quickly that you don't want to read. Well my curiosity struck me so I purchased the subscription just to see what it's like. Plus it was really cheap so that helped also.
Boy was I amazed! It's like having the actual magazine on your computer. Well, I mean it IS having the actual magazine on your computer. The pages even turn like a real magazine. It had the ads, the feel, the pictures, the articles all in magazine form. You name it, it was awesome! I started scanning and reading immediately like I would do with any other magazines. I was totally impressed and still am.
There's a bonus to being able to have your Maxim Magazine subscription sent straight to your computer. It's always in perfect condition. I know it's not a big deal for a lot of people, but sometimes pages get ripped or maybe you have dogs that love to chew everything which is probably worse. It saves a lot of space. Since your Maxim Magazine is on your computer, you never have to worry about having to stack it somewhere, throw it in boxes, move it, or anything to that sort. It takes up such a small space on your hard drive that your computer doesn't even know that it's there. And last, you don't have to worry about throwing it away. I mean, you paid money for it right? So why throw it away because it takes up space.
Don't forget that if you are environmentally friendly, that you will be helping out by having something in digital form than something that will eventually go to waste. That's a big deal to a lot of people in itself these days. So there are a lot of pros to having a Maxim Magazine Online Subscription than a physical subscription.
Keep in mind that me loving a magazine in this for is totally as opinion. I just felt I should share another piece of technology in its new form.
