Florida is always a popular destination especially for family holidays. However with the current economic climate finances are tighter and we have to be more careful with money. Many of us didn’t have a 2008 holiday or had a shorter holiday. Recent surveys have shown that most people are booking the normal two week summer holiday or longer. The bargains are being sought out and are out there to have.
You can stay in budget on a holiday to Florida while still having a great time with the family by looking at the cheaper attractions that still offer the great theme park thrills. The biggest two theme parks, Universal Orlando Florida and Walk Disney World tickets are expensive and can cost over $300 for a four person family day ticket. You can pick from many more smaller, but less expensive attractions that will still ensure you have a great time.
One recommended attraction is Fun Spot USA; it’s a bit different to the theme parks, offering the chance to go karting, battle with friends on the race track, then there are bumper cars, miniature gold and the Sky Coaster. The Sky Coaster is a sky diving simulator or there is always a NASCAR simulator. Prices range from around $2 to $30 so can work out cheaper than spending the day with Mickey unless you go mad and go on most of the rides. It is best to go on a weekday and early afternoon to avoid the crowds.
Shuttle Launch Space Center Experience
Another attraction that is cheaper than spending a day at the main theme parks is the new shuttle launch experience. This NASA simulator takes customers on a five minute ride featuring the latest video technology and complete with motion. Prices for adults start at around $38.
By planning properly it is possible to book cheap holidays in Florida and have a great time with the family.
