Dead Space 2 Collector's Edition – More Than A Game

When you're a big fan of a particular game, the chances are you'll be tempted by the special or collector's editions that pop up. This can be a pricy choice though, and it can be hard to tell just how worthwhile your extra investment is. This is far from the case when it comes to the Dead Space 2 Collector's Edition however, as the makers and marketers of the game have gone to great lengths to make sure fans aren't just buying a trumped up version of the normal package, but instead something unique that counts are far more than just the game.

Included in the collector's edition is the game itself (obviously!), but also extras such as the hour-long original soundtrack which lets you enjoy the game's unique atmosphere and sounds even when you are out and about away from your console and also includes a Scoring of Dead Space 2 featurette. You'll also be able to set yourself aside from the pack if you choose the collector's edition, as it comes with a downloadable Unitology Suit and Force Gun that's sure to add a distinctive touch to your game play as well as unique advantages to your character. There's also an in game Rivet Gun unlock, which is sure to come in handy.

Some other really nice additions to the package are a rare concept art lithograph of Necromorph transformation concept art by Visceral Games artist Brett Marting, ideal for decorating your bedroom or hanging somewhere distinctive in your home, and Dead Space Extraction in HD to really round off your Dead Space experience.

The other great thing about the exclusive bits and pieces you get in editions like this is the chance that they will only grow in value, especially if the popularity of the game in question continues to grow. However, if you're hoping to sell you're edition for a profit one day in the future, you'll have to be careful with all the components in the meantime - so you may be better off just having fun with them while you can.

While there may be occasions when you're better off just plumping for the basic package when it comes to game releases, there are some collector's releases that just shouldn't be missed - and the Dead Space 2 Collector's Edition is just one example of a unique and exciting offering you'll be proud to hang on to for years to come.
