Under the starry skies of Germany is a perfect heaven for astronomers; the Carl Zeiss Planetarium. The most sophisticated and technologically advanced apparatus are in place to observe and record the sky's exhibits. There are two main observatories within the planetarium, each offering a unique view of the sky.

The telescopes allow visitors to observe the sky both at night and during the day. A special telescope even enables one to look at the sun. From the movements of the planets to the rings of Saturn and the journeys of shooting stars, the planetarium is equipped to show you the sky in every shape and form. The modern equipment has been a path breaker as it creates unparalleled visuals of the outer space. The technology used at the planetarium is improved very frequently to make the experience truly out of this world.

Similar to most other planetariums the Carl Zeiss also reproduces the heavenly skies for education and information purposes.  The planetarium coordinates with a few other such star theatres in Germany, to broaden the horizons of all astronomers and budding young enthusiasts. Their venture has helped to assimilate and disseminate knowledge, thereby creating more awareness about the universe.

The ‘fulldome shows' are the highlight of the planetarium. The authorities have exerted great effort in compiling a host of visuals under different themes of interest. Each video clip explains a novel aspect of the cosmos, elaborates on discoveries or attempts to rectify the myths about the galaxies. 3D and 2D computer animated graphics are used for every video and are well received by children and adults.

Under the stellar skies in Germany one will be delighted by a hotel in Stuttgart such as the luxurious Millennium Hotel and Resort Stuttgart. Be dazed by the star studded atmosphere of the hotel Stuttgart, while you explore the Milky Way.
