By: Curtis Forrester
C & C Forrester has been in the mineral and fossil business for over 20 years and we have been collecting specimens for over 50 years. Now that we are retired from our salaried jobs, we have decided to create this website (www.forrestercc.com) in order to provide collectible specimens at reasonable prices.
Over the years I have worked in food, petroleum and cement laboratories using my background in biochemical and geological lab techniques. My last job partially entailed petrological analysis of portland cement clinker using microscopy and X-ray diffraction. Much of this experience was very helpful in modern mineral identification which is also applicable to selling minerals.
Countless hours go into preparing websites especially when photo images are used to represent products. We concentrate on bringing the finest images of our specimens that we can possibly photograph with our equipment. Presently we are using a Nikon D80 with Adobe Photoshop and Helicon Focus to produce the most accurate representation of each specimen that can be uploaded to our site. Various sources of illumination are also employed to show sharpness and detail of each specimen. We encourage our customers to remember that digital photography is just a step behind 35 mm techniques in detail, but the specimens always look better in the customer's hand. Also different lights will allow for different color hues.
We also spend many hours insuring that the locality and identification label of each specimen is accurate. Sometimes when we receive a specimen the attached label is in error, but fortunately we maintain a significant library of worldwide locations and an excellent network of other sources to insure that all specimen data is accurate.
We hope that our website design is attractive yet simple to navigate and we encourage our customers to send any suggestions to us relating to our site presentation. We accept Visa and MasterCard and subscribe to PayPal for easy payment. If you have any questions or comments our email is fossilmin@dcdi.net

C & C Forrester Fine Minerals & Fossils
We have a relatively new website (www.forrestercc.com) dealing exclusively with worldwide mineral and fossil specimens at reasonable prices. Collectors - compare are site with that of our competitors to see the price differences with similar specimen quality. We also try to update our website weekly with added descriptions, more close-ups and new inventory.
